We are changing the way you book most appointments on November 5th

Dear Patients

We are excited to share that from the 5th November 2025 we are changing how we work. This will be a fairer system for everyone and will mean we can respond more quickly to your needs. All requests (medical or administrative) will need to be submitted via the ACCURX form available on our website.

A clinician will review your request and based on its urgency, will then prioritise it.

If you are unable to fill in the form on-line a member of our Reception team will assist you in completing the form over the phone or in person. The same form will need to be completed whether you submit on-line, by phone or visit the surgery in person. This will ensure that all patients have equality of access.

Many GP Surgeries have already successfully adopted this way of patient contact and the benefits reported are:

• No more waiting in a phone queue at 8am
• A fairer system where every request is first reviewed by a clinician
• Faster responses and improved availability for appropriate health care

We would recommend that patients download the NHS App onto your smart phone, laptop or desktop computer in readiness for this change. We should be grateful if you would bear with us during our first stages of implementation as there may be teething problems.

These changes will enable us to comply with the new NHS GMS contract, as from Autumn 2025 it will be mandatory for all GP surgeries to provide on-line contact for patients between the surgery’s core hours of 08:00-18:30 Monday to Friday (with the exception of bank holidays and staff training afternoons).
